This is the shot list for my poster. I have noted down each of the shots that I have taken. I have taken different shots so that I have a few to choose from when it comes to including my image onto the poster.

Meeting Post 3

This week we discussed that we are going to be using a Cannon DSLR camera, and we may include a voice over throughout the trailer. We may also add a special affects of many pictures of the main characters filling on the screen at the end. Regarding the cinematography element of the trailer we intend to include may two shots and mid shots of the characters and the framing will mostly be in the centre, we also want to include at least two wide shots. As for the costumes we want the characters to look like they are form the middle class so we think that the characters will be wearing just jeans and a t-shirt.

Equipment And Software For My Magazine And Poster

In regards to production for my film magazine, 'The Reel' and my film poster for, Double Take, I am going to use the following equipment and software to carry out my creative process:

4. Microsoft Powerpoint

I have used a website called smore.com to create a digital leaflet to show all of the equipment and software that I have used in order to create my film magazine and Poster.

Costume And Props List For The Magazine

Costume:

This is the outfit that I will be wearing for my magazine. 

Props:

I am going to be using this EOS SLR 1100D Canon camera in order to take my magazine cover picture of Jacob.

I am going to be using this Vivtar Tripod to place the camera on so the image is straight and is not slanted, it will also help me to focus the camera to get a high resolution/quality image which will make my magazine look more effective.

Software: In order to create my magazine I will be using:

• Photoshop (to make the magazine, edit and put into a composition)

Costumes And Props List For The Poster

Costume:

This is the outfit in which I will be Wearing for the cover of my magazine, 'The Reel'.

Jacob will be wearing a casual T-shirt because his character whom he is portraying, (Gray) is suppose to be laid back and I wanted this to be represented on the film poster.

 I will be wearing This black dress for my magazine cover as Riven wears this dress in the scene where she has just transformed from ugly to pretty, and I thought that it would make the contrast between the casual style of the male character and female character look interesting and make the audience wonder about the plot and make them want to watch the film.

Props:

 I am going to be using this Vivitar tripod in order to balance the camera on it so that it is steady and takes a straight shot.

I am going to be using this 1100D EOS SLR Canon camera to take the pictures for my film poster.

Software: In order to create my magazine I will be using:

• Photoshop (to make the film poster, edit and put into a composition)

Draft 1:

This is my design of a film poster.

Layout:

This is my brief sketch of how I thought a film magazine would be set out. This is a task that was set in the lesson.                                   

Draft 2:

This is a draft of what I want my film magazines composition to look like. I will most likely change certain features whilst I am in the process of producing my magazine so it may not look like this draft when it is finished as this is just a plan to help me with the composition. I am also planning to have the font in red and black colours because they look effective together and help the text to stand out to the audience. The main picture will be of a Jacob Axford, who is playing the role of Gray in the trailer and there is usually only one main character on a magazine. This is only my current idea and I have included features such as cover lines, a barcode, main image, masthead, price, the films title, a banner, magazine info for example, the issue and date and a positioning statement.

Moderator Note

As I am taking pictures for my magazine and poster indoors so I do not need to do any weather research as it will not effect the shooting.

Film Poster Drafts

I have created these three rough drafts in order help me to create a composition and develop it further. I have decided that I definitely want to have both of the main characters on the poster to give the audience a sense of romance. As these drafts are only quickly sketched brief designs I may change and develop my composition ideas as I am going through the creative process of making my film poster. These are only my current ideas. I have included the following features: Main image, star review, credits, tagline, the stars names, an age rating and title of the film, all of these are common features that are found on film posters. 

I prefer this design in comparison to the other design therefor I am going to try to design my Film poster based on this composition. (It will have black and red text)

Magazine Analysis 2 (Entertainment)

As I have stated in my previous analysis, it is very rare to find a romantic comedy featured in a film magazine, this led me to analyse this Entertainment magazine because it was one of the only magazines which looked slightly romantic and was the closest thing that I could find to a romantic comedy genre in a film magazine. The title 'Entertainment' gives a clue that the magazine's genre is based on film. The cover lines mention a famous actress, 'Gwyneth Paltrol' and key words regarding to film such as, Smash Movie, Directors Diaries and Oscar predictions, all of which represent that the magazines genre is, film. I believe that this magazines target audience is aimed at any one who has an interest in films like the other magazine that I analysed however I feel that this magazine is also aimed specifically at teenagers as twilight is described as a young-adult fiction and fantasy, I also think that it is female based due to the strong romance element with is stereotypically more of a female interest in regards to genre however the colour scheme looks masculine in my opinion due to the red and black colours used so it could also be aimed at a male audience. The dark tone adds a mysterious affect which contrasts the red and white text effectively, which I think gravitates the audiences focus towards the large text which is information about the featured film.The mise en scene of this cover hints that genre of the film that is being featured includes romance because of the way the characters are close to each other, with the females head almost resting on the male characters in the image, this gives a sense of intimacy which again goes back to it being based on a female audience. Both of the characters serious facial expressions show that they are focused and relentless almost as if they are ready to fight which alludes to the genre that it is intense as well as romantic. Furthermore the way the characters are strongly staring in front with the same expressions portrays that they are both as dominant as each other and they both look heroic, which isn't common in romances as stereotypically it is the male character who is the hero. Personally I think that overall this magazine is powerful and captivating and would make audiences interested in buying it.

Magazine Analysis 1 (Total Film)

I am going to be analysing two film magazines regarding romantic comedy however I have looked on google images for an example of film magazines featuring a romantic comedy and it appears that this genre does not appear in magazines. I do not understand why they are not featured as they are a very popular film genre however most film magazines only feature film genres such as, Sci Fi, Thrillers, Action etc. This shows to me that the audience these film magazines ae aimed at are not very female based. I have found the two magazines that are the closest to romantic comedy as I could get.

The title of the magazine, 'Total Film', makes it clear that the genre of the magazine is film based. The various cover lines relate to other films, film quizzes etc so also represent that it is a film magazine. the target audience for this magazine is clearly anyone who has a interest for films and who wants to find out the latest on details regarding various films stars and behind the scenes gossip etc.

I think that this magazine shows that their is a relationship between the two characters as they are positioned lovingly each others arms insinuating that there is a sense of romance within the narrative linking to the genre for the film, king kong. King Kong looks as though it is romantic however it also implies that it is partly action due to the way the male character is holing the female as if he is protecting her from something and they both have scared expressions.I think that the way the female character is represented portrays that she is a damsel in distress and she looks petrified as she is being protected. and the male character looks heroic as he is trying to protect her as he grasps her in his arms, this is common in romantic comedy films.As I have found out that it is rare for romantic comedy films to be featured on film magazine covers this makes me wonder if total film are trying to appeal to a mixed audience rather than just female based as most romantic comedy target audiences are mature female. The magazines cover is dark in tone and includes black and grey shades, this adds a slightly morbid affect it also makes the yellow text stand out and makes it easy for the audience to read, gravitating the focus towards the key information about what is inside the magazine. Overall I personally think that this magazine looks amazing.

Production Company Logo Ideas

Im my media lesson today I decided to try to come up with some production company names, I came up with the following names:

I understand that most of these names in which I have come up with are completely random however most Production Companys have random names. I decided that my favourite was, 'Matrix Studios' as I think that it sounds the most professional. I used photoshop to create this draft design idea for our company's production logo. 

I used Photoshop to make this Production Company Logo for Matrix studios. This could be used at the start of our trailer. however my peers are also making production company logos therefor we are going to look at each others designs and choose from the one that we all feel appears the most professional and eyecatching.

I used the Warsaw Gothic Font that I downloaded from the, fontspace.com website.

Social Networking Post

I have asked if my poster should include and four or five star rating from my responses I have decided to use four stars for my film magazines star rating.

Make Up Tests

These images show the makeup products that I have used on myself and another actress in the trailer in order to create our look.

The Makeup Products:

For mascara I used 'Urban Decay' Subversion as a base coat on the lashes before adding the 'Perversion' mascara on top to give the lashes a full, thick effect.

As an eyeshadow I used the Urban Decay Basics Pallet, this gave a subtle and simple look.

For the foundation I used the Max factor three in one foundation mixed with Elizabeth Arden foundation in the shade, 'Perfect Beige'. I then used the Revlon Photo ready skin lights highlighter in the shade, '100 bare light'. I also used the dark brown shade to contour the cheeks.

As for lips I used hola lip gloss from benefit, a light pink lipstick and a light pink No7 lipliner, I used these products to give the lips a fuller look.

I set the foundation with a powder and then added blush to add some colour to the cheeks, I then used a concealer to conceal blemishes and to hide dark circles in the under eye area. I used an eyeliner to make the eyes looks bigger, I added a wing to the corner of the eyes in order to create this affect. 

I used Technique makeup brushes to apply the makeup. I applied my foundation, powder, eyeshadow and blusher with these brushes.

I used a bobbie brown foundation stick in, 'Almond' and then used an elf spray to keep the makeup in place. I used the natural collection clear mascara to comb out the eyebrows and a Maybeline Dream Luminous concealer to reduce the appearance of blemishes. I then used a mac eye liner stick in a beige shade to the edge of the eyes to add a brightening effect and to make them look bigger.

This was the eye makeup thatkirsty and I wore, the male characters did not wear any makeup.

Our overall Look.

I think that this light pink shade looks natural and sophisticated.
